New secretary needed for Dundonald history group
27 April, 2012The future of Dundonald Historical Society is under threat, with a new secretary urgently needed after the long-standing office-bearer announced he is to step down.
James McDonald has been secretary of the club for the past few years, but announced that he is to step down at the club’s recent AGM – and without a secretary the club will be forced to fold.
The new committee will be chair Sheila Wilson, vice-chair John Galloway, treasurer Libba Fallows, and committee George Dawes, Dennis Hemmingway, Eileen Docherty and James McDonald.
Another meeting will be held next month, and if a new secretary cannot be found the club will have to be wound up.
Also at the AGM, it was agreed that membership fees will stay at £8 a year, with teas and coffees 30p, and visitor fees £2.
